Central Lakes College Announces Community Production of The Grapes of Wrath
Brainerd Daily Dispatch Press Release:
"Major Minnesota State Arts Board grant supports community-wide arts and education initiative
"Brainerd, MN – The Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center (CLCPAC) will present a community theatre production of The Grapes of Wrath, based on Frank Galati’s Tony Award–winning stage adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel. Directed by CLCPAC Director Joey Yow, the production runs April 30–May 3 in the Chalberg Theatre, CLC's Brainerd campus.
This production anchors a cross-curricular initiative made possible by a Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Experiences grant, supporting a community-wide exploration of rural resilience, migration, and the ties that bind people to land and to one another. CLCPAC also receives annual operating support from the Minnesota State Arts Board and is among a select group of organizations statewide to receive an increased allocation for 2026—recognition of its strong community engagement and educational partnerships.
